The Prufrock Press Blog – “Ability Grouping of Gifted Children
The practice of grouping students by ability has become a controversial topic in many schools. As a result, during the last few years we have seen the dismantling of special gifted classes. We’ve seen teachers move away from the use of ability groups in their classrooms. How are gifted students affected by this change and does it make sense to move away from ability grouping?

FamilyConfidential.com – “Guiding Gifted Kids: James T. Webb
The late great James T. Webb discussed the classic definition of giftedness in this episode. According to Dr. Webb, relying solely on that definition is like asking “how dark does dark blue have to be before it is navy blue or darker?” He discusses how how parents can best help gifted students understand and use their gifts.

National Association for Gifted Child (NAGC) Podcast – “Parent To Teacher Communication/Parent Advocacy
The episode provides information on how both parents and students can effectively advocate with schools for a more rigorous curriculum.
