Resources While You Wait

Thank you for submitting your application to the Davidson Institute’s Young Scholars program!

You will receive a decision two weeks after the current application cycle due date.

Not sure when that is?

Check out our “How to Apply” page for this year’s list of application cycle due dates. Applicants can expect to hear back regarding a decision for their application within two weeks of their cycle’s application due date. That is, if there is a due date of February 28, and you submit your application by February 28, you will hear back by March 14 (two weeks after the February 28 due date).

We know you likely applied to the Young Scholars program because you’re looking for resources and community to support you, as you support your profoundly gifted (PG) or twice-exceptional (2e) child. While you wait for your application decision, below are a few resources that cover common topics that are important to many of the families in our program. We hope you’ll find them useful too.

  • Want to learn more about the PG brain and PG development?
  • Have you heard the term “twice-exceptional” or “2e” but wish you had a little more information about it?
  • Are you looking for more information about the social-emotional development of PG and 2e children?
  • Are you concerned that your child’s current school might not be a great fit for them, but you’re not sure how to find a better fit?
  • Are you looking for more Davidson Institute resources to further explore the topics above or other topics you might be curious about?

We hope you find these resources helpful on your journey as a PG or 2e parent. We look forward to reviewing your child’s application and learning more about them. We’ll be in touch soon!
