Category Requirements (Please review before proceeding to application)

Music contributions to society made by past Davidson Fellows include:

• Through the violin, empowering learners to challenge themselves and measure their own progress and successes by an internal ideal of mastery, leading to greater effectiveness and self-satisfaction.
• A musical project bridging classic piano, American hymn, and traditional Colombian music to benefit children of fallen Colombian police officers
• A jazz portfolio that seeks to maintain the integrity and authenticity of an art form while also institutionalizing its education, as well as commenting on the effect of institutionalization on artistic authenticity.
