The Summit weekend is packed with a plethora of fun and engaging activities. Some activities are curated for the whole family, and others are geared specifically towards Davidson Youth, Alumni, or Parents. An Attendee Guide will be available in the Spring to help families capture a clearer picture of what events are open to which Summit participants. Many activities provide our attendees with opportunities to connect with other families, explore the Davidson Academy, visit the exhibitor hall, and participate in other fun activities. Activity descriptions are provided below the tentative schedule.

A specific schedule of events and a copy of the Summit Information Booklet will be provided to Davidson families and alumni in DMC by June 13.

Various Social Activities: Meet others in your area of the U.S. with Regional Based Mixer meeting spaces and interest-based activities.

Game Rooms and Arts & Crafts Rooms: Challenge friends to your favorite card and board games! Arts & Crafts Room: If you like crafting, this is where you want to be! Paint, stitch, and glue your way to some unique projects.

BINGO: Your whole family is welcome to participate in ongoing rounds of BINGO. While BINGO wasn't invented in Reno, it is a favorite pastime here! BINGO will likely occur Friday, during one of the Various Social Activities time slots.

Tentative Davidson Academy Tour: Led by Davidson staff members, learn more about what opportunities the school offers and check out the school building.

Signature Talent Show Event: See the amazing Davidson Talent Show and cheer on this year's participants. Davidson youth will perform in various categories, including vocal, acting, instrumental and dance. More information for Talent Show sign ups will be released soon!

Simultaneous Chess Game with Grand Master Ronen Har-Zvi: This world champion will be playing as many as 20 chess games at once! Come join in on the fun, where you can watch if this is the year a Davidson student will be able to say, "checkmate!" If you are interested in participating in this simultaneous chess game with Ronen, please note that this will be on a first-come, first-served basis. All Davidson youth who'd like to attend Simultaneous Chess should bring their own chess boards. Depending on arrival time, all Davidson youth who attend should be able to participate. Throughout the weekend there may be opportunities for non-member Siblings to participate in a chess match with the grandmaster, Ronen.

While we create many avenues for families to get together and connect throughout the weekend, we also highly encourage our attendees take the reins in getting others together throughout the weekend.

Attendee Planned Activities (APA) are organized by Davidson Summit attendees outside of the Summit planned events. Organize a group game, visit a kid-friendly event in the Reno area, or plan a group dinner! If your family or group would like to arrange an activity, please complete the Attendee-Planned Activity Form in DMC.  Unfortunately, we are unable to provide meeting spaces. Davidson families and alumni can find a list of 2025 Attendee Planned Activities on DMC as they become available HERE.
