2024 Davidson Fellow Vidya Ambati was featured on CBS News Charlottesville for her project, Haloperidol Inhibits Inflammasome Activation via the Novel Receptor LAMTOR1 and Reduces the Risk of Rheumatoid and Gouty Arthritides.
She has won a $50,000 scholarship for her project, which is focused on taking an existing medication and repurposing it for the treatment of inflammatory joint diseases.
